The 1998 Macau Grand Prix Formula Three was the 45th Macau Grand Prix race to be held on the streets of Macau on 22 November 1998. It was the fifteenth edition for Formula Three cars. Hiroki Katoh
is a Japanese racing driver and team manager. Racing career Katoh started karting in 1990 and entered four-wheeled racing in 1992 with Formula Toyota. He would then compete in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship, with a highlight being a 6th place at the Macau Grand Prix. Paolo Montin (born 8 November 1976) is an Italian racecar driver. Career Montin finished 2nd in the Italian Formula 3 championship in 1998 driving for Team Ghinzani with 1 win and 113 points. He raced for the team at the Macau GP in the same season, finishing 10th. In 1999 he switched to Italian F3000, driving for Durango, across 7 races securing 1 podium finish. was a Japanese racing driver, the son of Nobuhide Tachi (舘 信秀), founder and head of TOM's, the motorsport side of Toyota. Racing career Tachi raced in British Formula Vauxhall with Rowan Racing in 1994 and 1995 before switching to British Formula 3 in 1996 with a Dallara-Toyota prepared by Team Magic Racing.
