1995 San Diego Chargers
The 1995 San Diego Chargers season was the team's 36th, its 26th in the National Football League (NFL), and its 35th in San Diego. The season began with the team as reigning AFC champions and trying to improve on their 11–5 record in 1994. After starting 4–7, the Chargers won their final five games to get into the playoffs. It ended in the first round with a loss to the Indianapolis Colts. That game would mark the last time the Chargers made the playoffs until the 2004 season, by when only long snapper David Binn remained from the 1995 roster. While most of the offensive starters returned from the Super Bowl run were back, the Chargers slipped down the rankings for both passing and rushing. AFC West
The American Football Conference – Western Division or AFC West is one of the four divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The division comprises the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, and Los Angeles Chargers. The division has sent teams to the Super Bowl twenty-one times beginning with Super Bowl I when the Chiefs played the Green Bay Packers, winning ten times, second only to the NFC East. Tony Martin (American Football)
Tony Derrick Martin (born September 5, 1965) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the New York Jets in the fifth round of the 1989 NFL draft. He earned second-team All-Pro honors with the San Diego Chargers in 1996. Career Martin was a 6'0" wide receiver out of Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado. The New York Jets selected him with their fifth round pick of the 1989 NFL draft. Martin, however, did not make the opening day roster in New York, and was placed on waivers. The Dolphins picked him up as a free agent prior to the 1990 NFL season. Terrell Fletcher
Terrell Antoine Fletcher (born September 14, 1973) is an American former professional football player who spent his entire eight-year career as a running back for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison where he played football as running back for the Wisconsin Badgers, the 1994 Rose Bowl champions. In 1995, Fletcher was named MVP in the Hall of Fame Outback Bowl. David Griggs (American Football)
David Wesley Griggs (February 5, 1967 – June 19, 1995) was an American professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for six seasons.
