Paul Annacone
Paul Annacone (born March 20, 1963) is an American former touring professional tennis player and current tennis coach. He is the former coach of 20-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer, 14-time Grand Slam winner Pete Sampras, and 2017 US Open champion Sloane Stephens. Annacone is currently a coach at ProTennisCoach.com, a commentator at Tennis Channel, and works with Taylor Fritz. Career Player High school As an eighth grader, Paul played first singles for Shoreham-Wading River High School and was undefeated in league play. Annacone graduated from East Hampton High School in 1981. College After graduating from East Hampton, the 6'1, 175 lbs. Annacone played three years of college tennis for the University of Tennessee in the Southeastern Conference over 1982–84. Kenny Thorne
Kenny Thorne (born January 24, 1966) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Thorne played collegiately for Georgia Tech from 1985 to 1988, and then played professionally from 1989 to 1997. He is currently the head coach of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men's tennis team. College career Thorne played four seasons for Georgia Tech and saw success both as a singles and doubles player. In doubles, he competed in the 1988 NCAA doubles tournament with partner, Bryan Shelton, after a 24-win doubles season. Thorne finished with 75 career doubles wins (all matches). As a singles player, he finished with a .717 career win percentage (all matches)– 10th highest in school history. He won an ACC singles championship in 1986. Mikael Pernfors
Mikael Pernfors (; born 16 July 1963) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. He reached the men's singles final at the French Open in 1986, and won the 1993 Canadian Open in Montreal. Career Pernfors played a topspin-heavy baseline game with a double-handed backhand, like his countrymen Björn Borg and Mats Wilander, but he lacked their consistency and relied on a crowd-pleasing game full of variety, liberally employing the drop shot and the topspin lob. Before turning professional, Pernfors played tennis for two years at Seminole Community College, then the University of Georgia in the United States and became the first player since Dennis Ralston two decades earlier to win back-to-back NCAA singles titles in 1984 and 1985. Thomas Ho (born June 17, 1973, in Winter Haven, Florida) is an American former professional tennis player. Tennis career Juniors Ho first came to the tennis world's attention as an exceptionally successful junior player. He won several junior tennis events in the 1980s, and set a number of 'youngest-ever' records. Pro tour In August 1988, Ho became the youngest male player in the open era to play in the main draw of the US Open singles at the age of 15 years and 2 months. Grant Doyle (tennis)
Grant Doyle (born 9 January 1974) is a former professional tennis player from Australia. He is the CEO and owner of Advantage Doyle Tennis Academies. Junior career Doyle won four junior Grand Slam titles during his early years. He and partner Joshua Eagle were boys' doubles champions at the 1991 Australian Open. In 1992, he became the number one ranked junior in the world. With new partner Brad Sceney, Doyle won the doubles again in the 1992 Australian Open and was also the singles champion, dropping just two games in his defeat of Brian Dunn in the final. Gregory Rusedski (born 6 September 1973) is a Canadian-British former professional tennis player. He was the British No. 1 in 1997, 1999 and 2006, and reached the ATP Tour, ATP ranking of world No. 4 for periods from 6 October 1997 to 12 October 1997 and from 25 May 1998 to 21 June 1998. Shuzo Matsuoka
is a retired Japanese professional tennis player, sports commentator, entertainer, and motivational speaker. Robbie Weiss
Robbie Weiss (born December 1, 1966) is a former tour professional tennis player and NCAA Division 1 singles champion. The resident of Las Vegas achieved a career-high ATP ranking in singles of world No. 85, which he reached on the heels of winning his only ATP Tour event, the 1990 São Paulo Grand Prix. He also won, partnering Ricky Brown, the 1984 Wimbledon Championships junior doubles title. Weiss played just a few tournaments on the ITF Junior Circuit and his only notable junior success was winning Wimbledon doubles crown in '84 partnering Brown. Stefan Svensson
Stefan Svensson (born 17 February 1962) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. Biography Svensson was born in Gothenburg but based in Kungälv. A leading junior in Sweden, he won both European and national championships at various age levels. In 1979 he was a member of the Swedish team that finished runners-up to the United States in the Sunshine Cup. He also made the semi-finals of the boys' singles that year at the Orange Bowl and 1979 Wimbledon Championships. Lars Rehmann (born 21 May 1975) is a former professional tennis player from Germany. Career Rehmann was a successful junior player, winning the Boys' Doubles at the 1993 Australian Open, with countryman Christian Tambue. They defeated the American pairing of Scott Humphries and Jimmy Jackson 6–7, 7–5, 6–2. Alexander Mronz
Alexander Mronz (born 7 April 1965) is a former tennis player from Germany, who turned professional in 1987. Mronz played right-handed, and won one doubles title (1988, Schenectady) in his career. Mronz reached his highest individual ranking on the ATP Tour on April 8, 1991, when he became the world No. 73. Mronz is famous for being the opponent of Jeff Tarango in a third round match at 1995 Wimbledon, having already knocked out Sjeng Schalken and Kenneth Carlsen to get to that stage. Lars-Anders Wahlgren (born 24 August 1966) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. Career Wahlgren was a top 100 player in both the singles and doubles. He won his first Grand Slam match at the 1987 French Open, beating Guy Forget. In 1989 he had his best singles performance in an ATP Tour event, reaching the final of the Australian Indoor Championships. He defeated defending champion Slobodan Živojinović en route to the final, where he lost to Ivan Lendl.
