The 1991 British Open (officially the 1991 Pearl Assurance British Open) was a professional Snooker world rankings, ranking snooker tournament, that was held from February to March 1991 at the Derby Assembly Rooms, Assembly Rooms in Derby, England. Stephen Hendry won the tournament by defeating Gary Wilkinson (snooker player), Gary Wilkinson 10–9 in the final. The defending champion Bob Chaperon was defeated in the last 64 by Franky Chan. Martin Clark (snooker Player)
Martin Clark (born 27 October 1968) is an English organiser of snooker tournaments and retired professional snooker player. Career Clark reached ten ranking tournament quarter-finals in his career, but never progressed any further. He reached the last 16 of the World Championship three times – 1991, 1992 and 1993, and also in 1992 reached the first major semi-final of his career at the World Matchplay by knocking out defending champion Gary Wilkinson. Eugene Hughes (snooker Player)
Eugene Hughes (born 4 November 1955 in Dún Laoghaire) is an Irish former professional snooker player. In 1985, 1986 and 1987 he was a member of the successful all-Irish team in the World Cup, alongside Alex Higgins and Dennis Taylor. Career Hughes was born on 4 November 1955 in Dún Laoghaire. He won the national under-19 English billiards and snooker titles in 1975, and later won the senior national titles four times in each discipline. Warren King (snooker Player)
Warren King (born 1 April 1955) is a former professional Australian snooker player who was active during the 1980s and 1990s. He reached his highest ranking position, 35th, for the 1985/1986 season, and was the runner-up in the 1990 Classic, where he lost 6–10 to Steve James. In 1994 King made the first 147 break in a tournament in Australia and in doing so became the first Australian to make a 147 break in a tournament. Duncan Campbell (born 24 September 1966) is a Scottish former professional snooker player. Dean Reynolds (born 11 January 1963 in Grimsby) is an English former professional snooker player whose career spanned twenty years from 1981 to 2001. Dene O'Kane (born 24 February 1963) is a former professional snooker player from Auckland, New Zealand. Career O'Kane won the 1980 New Zealand Amateur Championship, and represented New Zealand at the 1982 IBSF World Snooker Championship, winning six of his nine group matches, but failing to qualify on difference.
