1985 Buffalo Bills Season
The 1985 Buffalo Bills season was the franchise's 16th season in the National Football League, and the 26th overall. It was Buffalo's second-consecutive 2–14 season. Head coach Kay Stephenson was fired after an 0–4 start. Defensive coordinator Hank Bullough took over, going 2–10 for the remainder of the season. The 2000 NFL season was the 81st regular season of the National Football League (NFL). The season ended with Super Bowl XXXV when the Baltimore Ravens defeated the New York Giants, 34–7, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Mark Traynowicz
Mark Joseph Traynowicz (born November 20, 1962) is an American former professional football player who was an offensive lineman for five seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Buffalo Bills and Phoenix Cardinals. He was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the 1985 NFL draft. Traynowicz played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He was a unanimous All-American in 1984. Early life Traynowicz participated in football, wrestling and track and field at Bellevue West High School in Bellevue, Nebraska, earning nine varsity letters. In 1979, he was a first-team All-State football selection and won the Nebraska Class A state heavyweight wrestling championship with a final record of 29 wins and one loss. In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. Derrick Burroughs
Derrick D'wayne Burroughs (born May 18, 1962) is an American football coach and former cornerback who played five seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the Buffalo Bills. He was drafted by the Bills in the first round of the 1985 NFL Draft with the 14th overall pick. He served two stints as the head football coach at Lane College, from 2010 to 2013 and 2015 to 2019. Coaching career Burroughs began his coaching career in 1995 as assistant head coach and defensive coordinator for Knoxville College. Three years later, he joined the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe in the role of running backs coach. Burroughs became the defensive backs coach of the Berlin Thunder in 1999. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an "end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. Frank Reich
Frank Michael Reich (; ; born December 4, 1961) is an American football coach and former player who is the interim head coach at Stanford University. He played 14 seasons as a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL). He became a coach afterwards, including head coaching stints with the Indianapolis Colts and Carolina Panthers. Reich played college football for the Maryland Terrapins and was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the third round of the 1985 NFL draft.
