1957 Tournoi De Paris
The 1957 Tournoi de Paris was the first edition of Tournoi de Paris, an association football intercontinental competition between European and South American clubs. In particular, the inaugural edition is considered the precursor of the Intercontinental Cup by FIFA, as it had the only continental champion clubs at the time (Vasco da Gama in 1948 South American Championship and Real Madrid in 1955–56 European Cup) competing in the final. Vasco da Gama defeated Real Madrid 4–3 in the final in front of more than 65,000 spectators. Background The competition was organized by the Racing Club de Paris in celebration of its 25th anniversary. Real Madrid were invited to participate in the competition as 1955–56 European Cup champions, and accepted a few days before winning the 1956–57 edition. Guy Sénac
Guy Sénac (19 March 1933 – 13 January 2019) was a French football defender that played on the Division 1 from Villetaneuse. He is the father of Didier Sénac. Guy was selected twice for the French team. Biography Guy Sénac was born on 19 March 1933 in Villetaneuse. He would join Racing Club de Paris in 1952. Over his career he would score 42 top-flight goals and play 347 games. In 1963 he would leave Racing Club de Paris to join RC Lens. Bruneau René Bollini (14 September 1933 – 20 February 2015) was a French footballer who played as a defender for RC France and the French national team from 1956 until 1966. He also played a key role in the foundation of Union Nationale des Footballeurs Professionnels (UNFP), of which he was secretary for several years.
