1904 Prima Categoria
The 1904 Prima Categoria was the seventh edition of the Italian Football Championship, and the first branded Prima Categoria. Genoa retained the title, their sixth from the seven Italian football championships held up til then. Format It was contested by 5 clubs from 3 Northern Italian regions. Two Lombardy clubs and two Piedmont clubs played each other to decide which club would represent its region in a semi-final against the team from the other of they two region. The semi-final winner then played the reigning champions, Genoa C.F.C. in a final. The 1903 Italian Football Championship was the sixth edition of that competition. That was Genoa's fifth win of the competition. Format It was contested by six clubs from 3 regions of Northern Italy. Juventus knocked out two other Piedmont clubs before knocking out a team from Liguria to decide who would play a semi-final against Lombardy club, AC Milan. 1905 Prima Categoria
The 1905 Prima Categoria was the eighth edition of the Italian Football Championship and the second since the re-brand to Prima Categoria. The Italian football championship was won that year for the first time by Juventus. Regulation Following the 1905 affiliation to FIFA, the Italian Football Federation implemented new regulations to its championship that year. The contest again contained 2 clubs from each of the 3 Northern Italian regions of Liguria, Lombardy and Piedmont. However, home and away matches replaced the previous one-leg format used in the regional games of the competition. Prima Categoria
The Prima Categoria is the seventh level (since 2014–15) in the Italian football league system and is organized by the National Amateur League by the Regional Committees. Each individual league winner within the Prima Categoria level progresses to their closest regional league in the Promozione level. Depending on each league's local rules, a number of teams each year are relegated from each league, to the eighth level of Italian football, the Seconda Categoria. This level of Italian football is completely amateur and is run on a regional level. From 1898–1922, the highest league in Italy was named the Prima Categoria, the predecessor to the later Prima Divisione and current Serie A. Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus ( ; born Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus; 15 December AD 37 – 9 June AD 68) was a Roman emperor and the final emperor of the Julio-Claudian dynasty, reigning from AD 54 until his death in AD 68.
