Älvängen Church
Älvängen Church () is a church in Älvängen, Västergötland, Sweden. It belongs to Skepplanda-Hålanda parish in the Diocese of Gothenburg. Älvängens Church is a modern church, built in 1970 by architect T. Hansson and manufactured by Öresjö sektionshus. In 1982 it was extended under Kjell Malmqvist, during which a bell tower was added at the side of the church. The clock in the bell tower was cast at the Bergholtz bell foundry in Sigtuna. The following year the church was reopened. The altarpiece of wood was painted by Harry W. Smith. The textiles in the church were made by Christina Westman in Gothenburg. The original organ, a Grönvalls, was inaugurated in 1977, but it was sold in 1999 and replaced with a digital organ of the brand Ahlbom. Älvängen
Älvängen (earlier ''Elfängen'') is a urban areas of Sweden, locality situated in Ale Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 4,196 inhabitants in 2010. It is located some north of Gothenburg. Among the churches of Älvängen are the Älvängen Church and the Starrkärr Church . Älvängen was the hometown of the painter and writer Ivar Arosenius. The football player Pontus Dahlberg was born and raised in Älvängen. The ''P A Carlmarks rope factory'' was located to Älvängen. , there is a museum in the old factory locals that shows the rope productions in the early beginning of the 20th century. The museum also produced the rope for the East Indiaman Götheborg (ship), Götheborg. Sigtuna is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality situated in the eponymous Sigtuna Municipality, in Stockholm County, Sweden with 9,689 inhabitants in 2020. Ahlbom
Sofia Carolina Ahlbom (25 November 1803 – 8 June 1868) was a Swedish drawing artist, engraver, lithographer, photographer, map maker, writer, poet and feminist. Life Sofia Ahlbom was born in Västerås, the daughter of a goldsmith. She displayed an early talent in drawing as a child, and was tutored by the engraver Grandel in first drawing and later in engraving. After the death of her father in 1822, she and her sister Gustafva Ahlbom founded and managed a girls' school to support themselves and their mother. In parallel, she made engravings by commission for with clients among the city goldsmiths. A rich female benefactor admired her talent and advised her to move to the capital.
