Jogye Order (Korean조계종), officially Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism (대한불교조계종), is a sect of Korean Buddhism. It is the largest Buddhist sect in Korea with around 3,100 temples and 13,000 monks as of 2018. Although the order has its roots in Unified Silla, its modern form was established in 1962. Its principal scripture is the Diamond Sutra and its followers practice ganhwaseon meditation.
