Grasse (French pronunciation:; ProvençalOccitan: Grassain classical norm or Grassoin Mistralian norm; traditional Italian: Grassa) is the only subprefecture of the Alpes-Maritimesdepartment in the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azurregion on the French Riviera.
Considered the world's capital of perfume, Grasse obtained two flowers in the Concours des villes et villages fleuris and was made Ville d'Art et d'Histoire (City of Art and History).
