Rho (; uppercase Ρ, lowercase Ï or ϱ; Greek: Ïο or Ïω) is the seventeenth letter of the Greek alphabet. In the system of Greek numerals it has a value of 100. It is derived from the Phoenician letterresh. Its uppercase form uses the same glyph, Ρ, as the distinct Latin letter P; the two letters have different Unicode encodings.
