. The 1648 Battle of Zusmarshausen took place here. It lies on the river Zusam and is a part of the Augsburg Western Woods Nature Park. Its districts are Friedensdorf, Gabelbach, Gabelbachergreut, Steinekirch, Streitheim, Vallried, Wollbach, Wörleschwang and Zusmarshausen itself.
