A clinic was built in 1991, and a veterinary clinic opened ten years later. A survey performed in 2005 revealed that the inhabitants have a plan to upgrade Yetmen's status to a municipal town, believing that this will provide opportunities for non-farming activities, thus improving the lives of the people including the farmers.
