In July 1932, Balikhin and Ladovsky were elected to the board of the newly created Union of Soviet Architects. Balikhin worked at the Academy of Architecture of the USSR during the 1930s. Balikhin died in 1953. Balikhin's works were shown at the ''Paris-Moscou'' exhibition at the
