Ursov is the author of more than 210 published scientific articles with 10 monographs among them. He guided and prepared thirty candidates of medicine and eight Doctors of Medical Sciences. Ursov developed the traditional Russian tuberculosis school as the head of the Tuberculosis Department of Novosibirsk Medical University. Particularly, he trained the Siberian School phthisiologists, including Yuri Nikolaevich Kurunov, Vladimir Aleksandrovich Krasnov, and Tatiana Anatolievna Kolpakova.
