Galwa dam, the eighth largest dam in Rajasthan, is three kilometers from Uniara. Uniara has major forest areas situated along the

Rajasthan School of Painting

Uniara had an important school of Indian painting in the 18th century that was an offshoot of the Bundi school. Prominent painters, who served under the ruler Sirdar Singh, included Dhano and Mira Bagas (Mir Baksh).


Economy

Uniara's economy is based on agriculture. Galwa Dam is a major source of irrigation and provides water for most of the area of the tehsil. Mustard, urad beans and moongs are major crops cultivated in tehsil. The mining of sands and stone also contributes to the local economy.
