Personal

Wife Marina Truija, graduated from the choreography department of the Riga Music School; worked as a ballet dancer at the Vanemuine Theatre 1970-75, and as a ballet dancer at the Estonia Theatre 1975-91. Children: sons Daimar and Martin, daughter Sandra. Parents: farher Eduard Truija, successful farmer in Vastseliina Parish; mother Linda Truija, farm wife. The farm was destroyed by the Communist government in 1950.
