Formation and early years (2015–2018)
The band was formed in 2015, and they released their debut album ''Jaaji and Chelsey June''.
In 2017 Twin Flames released their second album, ''Signal Fire''.

On 27 May 2025 Sunchild Deer-Okpik (Jaaji Okpik) was arrested and charged with seven criminal offences involving two victims, including:
* sexual assault;
* sexual touching of a young person while in a position of authority; and
* forcible confinement.
