Shakur began his music career in the early 1990s, initially gaining attention as a member of the hip-hop group Digital Underground. Shakur released his debut studio album, ''2Pacalypse Now'', in November 1991. The album peaked at number 64 on the United States ''Billboard'' 200 and has since been recognized as a groundbreaking work of the hip-hop genre.
