Pagaruyung Kingdom, toppled the Sultan Arifin Muningsyah who escaped to Lubuk Jambi. In the record of Raffles, who traveled around Pagaruyung in 1818, it is mentioned that Pasaman only looted the handful of remains of the burned-down castle.
