Terrorist attack and self-censorship

On 2 December 2013, Express Media Group's offices were targeted in a terrorist attack in which three staff workers were killed. Pakistani politician Altaf Hussain condemned the attack and said that it is the obligation of the government to ensure the safety of the people. TTP later took responsibility for the attacks and declared the paper to be propagating against their militant group, citing it as their reason for the attack. In March 2014, a ''
