As a junior, he averaged 21.4 points and 7.0 rebounds and led the Pac-10 in three-point shooting at 50%, helping to lead the team to the Elite Eight. After his junior season of college, Murray declared for the 1992 NBA draft. Murray left UCLA in the #5 spot on The Bruins All-Time Leading Scoring List. Murray was inducted into the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame as a member of the 2021 class.
