to confront Hydra. During this confrontation, Robert Maverick / Red Hulk attacks the group after being injected with nanites by Hydra's double-agent, Kyle. In an attempt to save the group, Toni uses a teleportation device to transport her teammates Enigma and Squirrel Girl to Paris. Toni and Maverick are then captured and put in a prison, where they see Roberto, almost dead, in one of the prison cells. Hydra soldiers arrive at their cell while Toni is adjusting to prison life; she manages to save Roberto from them just in time. Toni then helps Roberto defeat the prison guards and free Maverick from the nanites, enabling the three of them to take control of the prison. After Toni and Squirrel Girl help the Champions of Europe to defeat Hydra soldiers in Paris, she contacts Enigma and makes plans to have the two of them return to the United States. She also tells Enigma that she is planning to quit the Iron Patriot mantle so that their relationship can continue. During all this, Toni let go of the anger she had felt toward her father's sacrifice. She is later approached by A.I.M. agents who want her to be the organization's new leader now that Roberto has quit. While traveling through space, Smasher and the U.S.Avengers are attacked by space pirates known as Warpjackers. After a brief fight, the pirates tell them that Glenbrook is actually the planet Kral X and that its ruler, Ritchie Redwood, is ruthless. Upon arriving on Kral X, the heroes help
