Pickover states, “The Latin translation
f Al-Khuwarizmi's Algebraintroduced the decimal positional number system to Europe” (84). Later, Pickover writes that Fibonacci's Liber Abaci "introduced the Hindu-Arabic numerals and decimal system to Western Europe" (100).
