Distribution

About forty species of ''Tetragonia'' are found in southern Africa, from Angola to South Africa. They also occur in Australia, eastern Africa (Kenya and Ethiopia), western south America (Peru and Chile), and Asia (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, southern China, Myanmar, and Vietnam).
