in 1999, Tomas Okmanas and Eimantas Sabaliauskas founded Tesonet in 2008 for a single project. In the end, however, it took 34 different projects and ideas – from web hosting and e-commerce to video games – to hit upon a viable business model.

BC Žalgiris

In 2022, Tesonet acquired a 25% stake Kaunas basketball team Žalgiris, with the company’s representative, Jonas Karklys, joining its management board. Tesonet’s aim was to focus the club more on expanding its commercial offerings and developing sportstech innovations to further improve fan experiences. Eneba

In 2018, Tesonet acquired Helis Play, a software company founded by two college friends, Vytis Uogintas and Žygimantas Mikšta. That year, they launched Eneba – a video game and digital entertainment marketplace. Rapid growth during the pandemic lockdowns helped the company raise $8 million from Practica Capital and InReach Ventures in 2020. In 2013, it sold its products to over 15 million users, with 80% of the sales coming from repeat customers.


Cast AI

The Kubernetes automation platform Cast AI was founded in 2019 by Yuri Frayman, Leon Kuperman, and Laurent Gil. In 2020, the company closed a seed round with $7.7 million from TA Ventures, DNX, Florida Founders, and other angel investors. In 2021, Cast AI joined the Tesonet accelerator. According to Sabaliauskas, Tesonet saw “CAST AI as a vigorous and promising company”, which motivated it to “contribute not only by investing in it but also by sharing our experience”.


MISHKAY Biotech

Tesonet invested in MISHKAY in July, 2020, enabling the business to be launched next year. MISHKAY is a zero-waste startup producing functional foods and supplements from medicinal and edible mushrooms grown on its own farm. According to Sabaliauskas, the reason for Tesonet tripling its investment in 2024 was that MISHKAY “exceeded all forecasts despite growing sustainably” and was no longer able to meet demand. The startup works with pharmacies and universities, and plans to soon introduce new products for skin health and cholesterol control.


Cyber City

Decodo

Decodo, a proxy provider since 2018, offers residential, data center, and mobile proxies with 65M+ IPs in 195 locations. Serving 50,000+ users, it introduced Pay As You Go pricing in 2022 and launched Residential Proxies in 2023.

Industry Recognition

In 2020, Tesonet was recognized as the ''Community Influencer of the Year'' at the Startup Museum Awards. This accolade acknowledged Tesonet's contributions and influence within the Vilnius startup ecosystem. At the 2023 Vilnius TechFusion Awards, Tesonet co-founders Tom Okmanas and Eimantas Sabaliauskas were honored with the ''Ecosystem Hero'' award, triumphing over four other nominees. The same year, the they received the ''For Lithuanian Innovations Leading Globally'' award at the Global Lithuanian Awards, recognizing their role in promoting Lithuanian technological innovation on the international stage. In 2024, Eglė Eidimtaitė, Head of Investment at Tesonet, became the first Lithuanian to be appointed to PayPal’s Customer Advisory Board. This board is tasked with shaping the development of personalized financial solutions, enhancing product offerings, and optimizing the customer experience across PayPal’s global platforms.


Corporate Culture

Tesonet has been a proponent of workations abroad, claiming they boost productivity despite shorter work hours. In 2023, the company organised Lithuania’s biggest workation which included over 2,000 people. In 2024, Tesonet hosted former Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė for an evening discussion focused on leadership resilience during challenging times. That same year, the company held its inaugural 3-day AI hackathon, aimed at fostering employee engagement with artificial intelligence technologies and encouraging innovation across teams. Tesonet runs an internal mentorship initiative known as ''TesoXchange'', a structured 4-month program designed to facilitate cross-team learning and growth. To date, the program has connected 1,437 employee pairs across seven different products. Additionally, the company regularly organizes knowledge-sharing sessions to promote continuous learning and professional development across its group of companies.


Social Responsibility

In 2020, Okmanas rallied the country’s tech companies to join Tesonet in supporting Santaros Clinic’s efforts to procure the equipment necessary for combatting COVID-19. The initiative yielded over 200,000 euros. In the same year, Tesonet also signed a cooperation agreement with

In 2021, Tesonet joined multiple other Lithuanian startups in establishing the association Unicorns Lithuania. Its mission includes promoting local startups, making Lithuania the best place in the world for building unicorns, and transforming its high added value sector into Lithuania’s No.1 economic engine by 2030. In 2022, CyberCare opened an office in Lviv, Ukraine. Although planning for the move started before the war, according to Dainius Vanagas, CEO of CyberCare, one of the reasons why it was followed through was a desire to help Ukraine rebuild. During the fundraising event Radarom in 2023, intended to support Ukraine’s arming efforts, Tesonet pledged to double the donated sum. In the end, the company’s contribution amounted to 1 million euros. In 2025, Tesonet received the Šv.
