Early life

His grandfather, Ahmed, started a civil engineering company. His father took over part of the firm and it became Hédi Bouchamaoui & Sons, which specializes in oil, textile and other industry. His sister,

Career

Bouchamaoui is the managing director of HBS International, an oil company based in Egypt. He is also a shareholder and board of directors member of several companies and private equity funds, including HBG Holding, a holding company based in Tunisia. Strongly involved in football activities, he has been a member of the FIFA Council since 2015 and the CAF (Confederation of African Football) executive committee since 2011. He was closely allied to Tunisia's former president,
