. It began as a one-off telefilm in 2003 and centers on three bumbling, unemployed men and their misadventures as they try one scheme after another to earn a living. The original telefilm’s popularity led to multiple sequels throughout the 2000s. It is considered one of Humayun Ahmed’s most successful television works.

Plot

The series follows three jobless friends—often depicted as an eccentric uncle-nephew duo and their companion—who are desperate for income. One of them is a small-time con artist, another is a naïve and obedient character, and the third acts as the comic relief. Each telefilm features a new scheme they attempt to launch—from opening a tea stall to running a street food business—but their plans always result in humorous failures. Despite their antics, the trio shares a deep friendship and loyalty. Their light-hearted yet satirical take on poverty and unemployment resonated widely with audiences.
