Taisuke Fujigaya

is a Japanese singer, actor, and radio personality. He is a member of boy band Kis-My-Ft2 under Starto Entertainment. His nicknames are Taipy, Gaya-san, and Gaya.

In addition to working as an actor alongside his boy band activities in Kis-My-Ft2, he has been a radio personality of "Peaceful days of Taisuke Fujigaya ( 藤ヶ谷太輔 Peaceful Days)" since 2019 and the main host of the TV talk show " A-Studio" with Shōfukutei Tsurube II since 2020.

On April 23, 2024, the official Instagram was launched.

History

When Fujigaya was 11 years old, his aunt secretly sent his resume to Johnny & Associates for an audition. He was initially unsuccessful in the audition, but when he was leaving, he did not know where to return his number tag, so he spoke to an elderly man nearby, who turned out to be the president, Johnny Kitagawa. On Kitagawa's decision, Fujigaya passed the audition and joined Johnny & Associates in 1998.
Also in the audition were Kazuya Kamenashi and Yuichi Nakamaru, who later became members of KAT-TUN, Takahisa Masuda, who became a member of NEWS (band), Ryoichi Tsukada, who became a member of A.B.C-Z, and Yuki Koshioka, who became a member of 4U.

In April 2004, Kis-My-Ft. was formed as a unit within trainees (Johnny's Jr.) and Hiromitsu Kitayama and Wataru Yokoo were selected as members. In July 2005, Kento Senga, Toshiya Miyata, Yuta Tamamori, and Takashi Nikaido, who were active as "A.B.C-Jr." at the time, joined the group and began their activities as Kis-My-Ft2. They made their CD debut on August 10, 2011 with their first single ''Everybody Go''.

As an actor

In 1999, Fujigaya made his first drama appearance in the Television drama ''Scary Sunday, My Friend J-kun'' (Nippon TV).

In July 2012, he played his first starring role in a drama series ''Beginners!'' (TBS Television (Japan) ) in July 2012, his first starring role in a drama series.

In February 2014, he played his first starring role in a film, ''Kamen Teacher the Movie'', and in May 2014, she played her first starring role in a stage play, ''Colt Gabaments - Hajime no Hajimari''.

He has since continued to work in Television dramas, with notable works including ''He is Beautiful'', ''Mars - I just love you'' and ''Karei-naru Ichizoku''.

On stage, the musical ''Don Juan'', in which he played the lead role in 2019, was well received and will be performed again in 2021.

The stage play ''And I'm at a Loss'' starring Fujigaya in 2019 was well received and was later made into a movie also starring Fujigaya.

The movie ''Arrogance and Virtue'', released in 2024, is a film adaptation of the bestselling novel by Mizuki Tsujimura. Fujigaya, an avid reader, had declared this novel as his all-time favorite even before the film adaptation was announced. He had expressed his desire to take part in the movie if it were ever adapted, which eventually led to him being offered a leading role in the film.

Perfume producing

In November 2024, it was announced that Fujigaya produce the perfume brand Aimetoi. "Aimetoi" means "love yourself" in French, and the product names he is launching are "8" and "23," which he says are taken from his birth time, 8:23. It was released on November 13, 2024.

In the production process, he had numerous meetings with the perfumer and spent more than six months to create his perfume.

He first became interested in perfume when he was in junior high school. A cool senior at the same school wore perfume, and he had a yearning for it. When he became friends with that senior and could wear the same perfume, he felt as if he had been accepted and was happy. For him, perfume is an essential part of his work, and he always wears it at Kis-My-Ft2 concerts.
