Sebastián Yatra said that although the song has the energy of the original version, he considers it a completely new song. "It has the joy of the original theme, but for me it is a completely new song. It sounds like it was created this way. It was meant to have Legend's voice on it alongside mine," Yatra said in a statement. "Tacones Rojos" also charted in the TikTok Top 10 and Spotify Global Top 50.
