The climate of Sunari is characterised by its dryness and extremes of temperature. It has very hot summers and cool winters. Summer starts in April and lasts until mid-October. May is the hottest month, with the maximum temperatures to 48 °C. The ''Loo'', the hot winds, blow from May to July. Dust storms are common. The summer monsoon from late June to September is weak.
