At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 13,915 in 2,258 households.
There were 13,075 inhabitants in 2,685 households at the following census of 2011.
The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 12,452 in 2,649 households. The most populous of its 24 villages was
Hovarsin, with 1,328 people.
