Astakos ( el, Αστακός, meaning "lobster") is a town and a former municipality in Aetolia-Acarnania, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Xiromero, of which it is a municipal unit. , of which it was a municipal district.
The 2011 census recorded 156 residents in the village and 326 residents in the community.
