named Steven Brooks as the Head Coach for 2024 Men’s Professional Lacrosse Exhibition Game on March 20, 2024 at Fujitsu Stadium in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan, featuring Premier Lacrosse League vs. SEKAI CROSSE. Brooks led the PLL All-Stars to an 8-5 victory over SEKAI CROSSE. Brooks was named acting Head Coach of the New York Atlas for the 2025 Championship Series. Coach Brooks led the New York Atlas through an exciting and competitive run at the 2025 PLL Championship Series. Under his leadership, the Atlas delivered a statement performance in their opening game, dominating the Maryland Whipsnakes with a commanding 25-13 victory. The team showcased offensive firepower, defensive tenacity, and elite goaltending, setting the tone for their tournament run. Despite a hard-fought battle against the Utah Archers, where the Atlas fell 20-23, Brooks kept the team focused and competitive throughout the group stage. In the semifinals against the Boston Cannons, the Atlas controlled much of the game and looked poised for a championship appearance. However, despite their dominance, the Cannons forced overtime, where they edged out a narrow victory, bringing an end to the Atlas’ campaign. Though the Atlas fell short of the championship, Brooks’ leadership, strategic play-calling, and ability to maximize his team’s talent were on full display. His guidance helped the Atlas establish themselves as one of the most dynamic and resilient teams in the tournament, setting the stage for future success.
