, Bracey attended Kilgore Junior College in Texas for two years. In his sophomore year he averaged 33.4 points per game, and was the top junior college scorer. Bracey was inducted into Kilgore's Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000. Bracey transferred to the

He was named to the 1971-72 All-Missouri Valley Conference team as well as honorable mention All-American as a senior. He was inducted into the University of Tulsa Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000.
