In January 2019, Standard launched GAF Energy, a solar company which aims to increase the installations of residential solar roofs by working with regional installers. On April 26, 2021, W. R. Grace announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement with Standard Industries Holdings Inc. where Standard Industries Holdings will acquire Grace in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $7 billion.
