After one year, she took a leave of absence to pursue MySocialCloud full-time.

Ferreira co-founded MySocialCloud with her brother, Scott Ferreira, and programmer, Shiv Prakash, while she was in high school.
The idea came after a computer crash that left Scott without the spreadsheet he used to store usernames and passwords for his online accounts.
In 2013, the siblings sold MySocialCloud to Reputation.com and moved from Los Angeles to the San Francisco Bay Area.
