Plot

The film begins with Ravi a young & energetic guy who visits his friend Deepa Brahma's wedding, where he falls for a charming girl Madhumati. However, the situation changes as his father fixes up his alliance with his friend's daughter Kanchana and forcibly knits her. On their first night, Ravi decides to be open before Kanchana about his love affair. But unfortunately, Kanchana reveals her own with Rajendra who used to live as a tenant in their house. She too faced the same succumbing and wedded to Ravi. Forthwith, Ravi & Kanchana are cannot be tailored and agonized because they are haunted by the past. So, decide to divorce, for performing nuptials with their respective love interests. Anyhow, according to the Hindu Marriage Act, as they are newlyweds they must wait for at least one year before they can file for divorce. Hence, the couple is forced to live together. In this period, love blossoms between them. The rest of the story is about whether they divorce or not.
