it is not; "Sorbus discolor" is a name erroneously applied to ''
Sorbus commixta'', the Japanese rowan.
''Sorbus commixta'' fruit is bright orange to red, whereas ''Sorbus discolor'' fruit is white, or possibly dull pink to yellowish-orange.
