He later signed a contract in July 2010 after a successful pre-season campaign but suffered another serious knee injury in a match against Altrincham on 21 September 2010 which put him out of action for the rest of the 2010–11 season. In June 2013, he became under-10s coach at Blackpool. Wiles signed for

Salford City

In the summer of 2014 he moved to Salford City. He made his club debut in the opening league match of the season on 16 August as Salford beat Scarborough 4–1. He left the club in early November 2014.

Coaching career

In 2015, Wiles was named first-team coach at Bamber Bridge. He was promoted to the role of assistant manager in December 2016. In May 2018, Wiles joined League One club

in a coaching role with the club's under-18s team. In January 2021, Wiles was appointed first-team interim manager following the sacking of
