Geology

The hot spring is located at an elevation of 1,500 meters above sea level. The area consists of more than 100 hot springs. The temperature of the spring goes up to 60 °C. There are multiple springs varying from 20°C to 95°C, which are used by tourists from other parts of Mongolia, particularly Ulaanbaatar.


Uses

The springs are reported to have multiple health benefits, ranging from springs that can alleviate arthritis related pains, asthma, and various other health conditions. There is a health resort dating back to the late socialist era, which is often busy in the summer months when the weather is milder.
