Career

Rahman served as the joint secretary general and vice-chairman of BNP. Rahman was arrested several times during her political career — in April 2012 under section 54 of the Criminal Procedure Code, in December 2013, in January 2014 for the Ramna Police Station arson case, in August 2015 for assaulting police and in September 2016 for an arson attack on a bus.
