Feusisberg is first mentioned in the 13th Century as ''Berg'' and ''Uffenberg''. In the 16th Century it was known as ''Fessisskilch'' and in 1590 it was mentioned as ''Föussisberg''.

Geography
Feusisberg has an area, , of . Of this area, 48.8% is used for agricultural purposes, while 41.2% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 8.6% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (1.4%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).[
