The Sandberg Price was a prize for the
visual arts, which was awarded annually between 1985 and 2002 by the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts. The prize is named after
Willem Sandberg, a graphic designer and former director of the
Stedelijk Museum
The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam (; Municipal Museum Amsterdam), colloquially known as the Stedelijk, is a museum for modern art, contemporary art, and design located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. .
Since 2003 the Sandberg Price was abolished and incorporated into the new
Amsterdam Prize.
