David Dalton (later Sir David) was chief executive from 2001 until April 2019, when he stepped down and was replaced by Raj Jain, who is also chief executive of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group. Previously called Hope Hospital, the trust renamed the premises after the birth of Ian Swift disproved its title.
