Etymology
The name ''Saba Yoi'' is a
Thai corruption of ''sebayu'' (Jawi: سبايو). Its original name means 'wind' in
Malay.
History
The area of Saba Yoi was administered by the
Thepha district. It was upgraded to be Ba Hoi minor district (''
