Political career

In 1992, Hood ran for an open seat in the Ohio House of Representatives, but lost by a narrow margin. In 1994, he ran again and was elected to represent the 57th District, a position he held for three terms. In 2005, he won a close race for the 91st District with a 5.28% margin. Personal life and death

In 2001, Hood married Michal Marie Dean of
