Her father is an entrepreneur and served as a Senator in Indonesia's (People's Consultative Assembly) from 1999 to 2004 and in (Regional Representative Council) from 2009 to 2014. Her mother is a philanthropist who has been running YPAC Medan (), a school for mentally and physically disabled children, since 2010. Her mother was also the President of Women’s International Club in Medan from 2002 to 2004. Raline is known to be very close to her immediate family and often regards her grandmother as the love of her life.

2008–2013: Career beginnings
Raline was a part-time model for Mannequin Studios from 2004 to 2008. She was also part of the Public Relations Department of Paragon Medical from 2008 to 2011. Her entry into the mainstream Indonesian entertainment landscape was as one of the contestants of where she represented North Sumatra. She was chosen in the Top 5 and was awarded the title by popular vote.
