Biography and career

Raktae started training at the age of 14. He moved to Bangkok to join the Muangsurin camp in 1977. Raktae quickly rose to prominence, he captured the Rajadamnern Stadium 135 lbs title in 1979, defeating Yousop Sor.Thanikul by decision. He holds victories over many notable champions of his era such as Jocky Sitkanpai, Jitti Muangkhonkaen, Seksan Sor Theppitak, Inseenoi Sor.Thanikul or

. Raktae was one of the most recognizable fighters of the 1980s on the Bangkok circuit with his heavy handed style. Raktae also competed in boxing both professional and amateur. He captured the now defunct OBA lightweight title and was the runner up at the Presiden'ts Cup in Indonesia. After his fighting career Raktae became a trainer at his former gym Muangsurin for seven years before the camp disappeared.
