She is a researcher of green criminology, which studies the relationship between nature and society in a eco-global perspective, as well as the harms and crimes humans cause the natural environment and nonhuman animals. Between 2019-2024, Sollund led the research project, Criminal Justice, Wildlife Conservation and Animal Rights in the Anthropocene. She has been a guest lecturer at several universities, including the University of Havana and the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (Mexico). She was a partner in the EFFACE project and has also been involved in other commissioned research for the
